June 2024 CVC Exchange Release Notes

Search Updates

Due to feedback from student, faculty, and administrative users, the Exchange's default search will transition from "subject" to "keyword" on the Exchange this summer. As shared with the Consortium last month, the keyword search will be more dynamic based on text and transfer relevance. To refine the keyword search, users will be able to provide feedback and suggestions through a widget (coming soon!). "Subject" search will sunset in September 2024.

Production Updates

Due to the SuperGlue outage last week, delivery of shared applications were intermittent but resumed delivery on the afternoon of June 7, 2024. The CVC team is in the process of resending shared applications that failed delivery during this timeframe.

Colleague Clients:  Recently the CVC team encountered issues with Ethos extension versions. As a best practice, please ensure that extensions on the courses and sections-maximum endpoints are on the * version. Districts with multiple Ethos integrations and vendors are encouraged to apply extensions to the * version or roll all extensions forward after each upgrade.

Cross-enrolled students now have their own MIS data element! Beginning summer 2024, SX07 will be used to identify CVC cross-enrollments for MIS reports.

As a reminder, if your district previously accessed supplemental student data through the Tech Center's Jasper Report process this will be turned off on May 31, 2024. Automated delivery of the student's original Home College application is delivered to a separate staging table via Superglue Adaptor upon successful cross-enrollment.
