Beyond Land-Use Maps: GIS for Urban and Regional Planning in Higher Education

The scale of urban and regional challenges today is vast. Issues of equity, sustainability, transportation, and housing are some of the main areas that students studying planning and urban design want to focus on.

GIS now includes tools for easily capturing field data, analyzing demographic and historical information in web applications, and creating immersive 3D site plans. GIS is an incredibly valuable tool for students looking to solve the major problems our world faces today.

Join us as faculty members discuss their use of modern GIS tools in urban and regional planning courses.

This webinar will highlight new tools, software updates, and the ways that faculties can incorporate modern GIS into their courses and curriculum.
