As campuses reopen, join colleagues from Miracosta, Porterville, Mt San Jacinto, and Columbia Colleges for a panel discussion of the future of online tutoring at their colleges and across the California Community Colleges system. Each college will also have a student-tutor representative who will comment on their experiences as an online tutor and observations about whether students will continue to need and seek online tutoring as campuses reopen.

With nearly two years of providing online tutoring services as demanded by the needs of students during COVID, Tutoring Center Managers have created new (or updated) ways of observing tutors for feedback. Join us for a presentation and discussion focused on session quality review. How do you observe online tutoring sessions? Do you join as a third participant in real-time or watch session recordings? What is different for scoring an online tutoring sessions vs an in-person session; what is similar? NetTutor will present the online tutoring QC rubric that is used to evaluate our tutors. The presentation will include an overview of the Supervisor role in Pisces for observing campus tutors in real-time and the Administrator Dashboard to review recorded sessions.

Second, expand subjects and hours of availability by joining the STAR-CA consortium. Last but not least, fill in the gaps with NetTutor and use the Admin Dashboard to manage your minutes (many thanks to the CVC-OEI for allocating 200 hours per college this term).
